HomeAdvisor is a fast-growing company, and is seeing a large increase in relocations year-over-year. Before UrbanBound, HomeAdvisor had no policy guidelines, each relocating employee received a taxable lump sum, and costs were growing at an alarming rate. This approach resulted in employees working through complex moves on their own, and often being upset that their total benefit was diminished by tax costs. HomeAdvisor’s HR team was also fielding transferees’ questions about their destination city and for general moving advice, taking up a significant amount of time.
